Blackwolf @ the Oscars 2007: Intro
Well, here we are again, dearies! Your humble Dragonmaster, for the third straight year in this, the Diary of Magecraft, proudly presents the most complete observations yet concerning the 79th Annual Academy Awards! The balance of the chronicle, including the five-part assessment of the telecast itself, is derived from the Internet Movie Database, the database of The Hollywood Reporter, and various additional sources.
Because of certain private events that require my attention, however, the actual posting of the nominees will take place one day immediately after they are announced. I know not right now who will be joining Academy President Sid Ganis at the Beverly Hills headquarters of the Academy to announce the nominations, but one thing's for sure: you can expect all kinds of surprises, twists and turns along the way. First, though, there's the little matter of Super Bowl XLI to kvetch over, followed by my personal comments on why I actually dare to do this every year. Anyway, do follow ol' Blackwolf now, if thou wouldst, into the innersanctums of the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland, where gate-crashing in style is considered a no-no, and yet is encouraged nonetheless!
