Today's Guest Blogger: His Oceanic Majesty, King Neptune!
Greetings, Surface-dwellers!
Neptunus Rex, King of the Oceans here, speaking to you from my fabulous Underwater Throne Room! If you Mortals will recall, earlier in 2007, I had the privilege of giving the Surface-dwellers of New York City what I like to call "the ultimate water wedgie" --- over 21.56 inches of springtime rain! Boy, what delightful fun I had then!
And now, as I look forward to yet another Major League Baseball Postseason, I can't wait to have ol' Master Blackwolf kneel before me yet again! Ha ha!
For those of you Mortals who don't know, it was in October 2003 that the Dragonmaster and I made a bet re the World Series, with the New York Yankees against the Florida Marlins. The idea was, should those blarsted Bronx Bombers emerge victorious, I would have to undergo the humiliating ritual of wearing Yankee regalia in place of my usual Kingly raiments; however, should the Marlins triumph, Master Blackwolf would surrender control of Earth's oceans to me! Well, the 2003 World Series went the full seven games, and the Marlins, it ultimately turned out, humiliated the Yanks in their very own Yankee Stadium! Ha ha!!!
Well, since then, I've had the priviliege of gloating in Blackwolf's face three straight seasons in a row --- and frankly, boys and girls, I'm chomping at the bit to make it four-for-four! Hey, Blackwolf: see ya downstairs in a couple of hours! I am going to so love gloating at you again! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
