Of Rex and the Saints: Some Final Mardi Gras Thoughts

In retrospect, it was a written law of Destiny that the New Orleans Saints should be given the chance to play in the Super Bowl for the first time in their franchise's history. Their adventure, which saw them battling the Indianapolis Colts, not only brought their city together, but somehow changed the world as well. By the time all was cast in stone, Super Bowl XLIV had emerged from literally nowhere to become the most watched television broadcast of all time. And in NOLA proper, the celebration had begun!

Only after Hunter Pierson had officially assumed Rex's throne, and had taken Katharine Duncan as his Queen, could the party truly begin in earnest. Doubtless some of you have footage of the event on YouTube. Still, I would say to you that the force of Rex and the Champion Saints brought together can work far more magic than one can imagine.........
