A Few ID4 Thoughts, on the Road to Missive #350
Greetings, on this fine Wednesday morning, dear Mortals!
Next week, of course, is the week/weekend of Independence Day, meaning that I, your Yankee Doodle Dragonmaster, will of course have the stops pulled out for ye olde 4th of July! Of course, the annual Round Hill Scottish Games will have tons of bagpipe music for you who think Dolby Stereo is for wimps; while, in Smithville, Tennessee, their annual Fiddlers' Jamboree and Crafts Festival invites any and all bluegrass, traditional and country music-makers to jam themselves silly! Here in New York, meanwhile, Macy*s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, featuring the New York Pops faking playing their musical instruments, which no orchestra should EVER do, while the live NBC Special, anchored by Natalie Morales and Tiki Barber, will spotlight the event's theme for this year, America Dances!
And I see that Sir Robyn of Sotheby's Roost, featuring the Flemish paintings of Sir Francis of Hui, is back at full strength, where it belongs! I was worried about whether or not the site would have crash'd for good; fortunately, Sir Robyn has seen fit to get all his obligatory bugs out --- and all is now well back at ye olde Roost. Huzzah!
As for me, I shall soon reach the 350-missive mark, my dears! As you know, I joined the world community of bloggers in August 2004; after 5 years, being part of Blogger.com and Blogspot.com has been a sort of unexpected puzzle --- but it's a puzzle I especially enjoy solving every single day! So, my thanks and much love to the Blogger.com higher-ups for putting up with this foolish old Wizard for these last five years and 350 missives.
Yes, I'm blowing my own horn, dearests, and I care not who knoweth it. So ---- LET'S HEAR IT FOR ME! (HOORAY!!!)
