Today's Guest Blogger: His Wintry Majesty, Boreas Rex, King of the Winds!
Greetings, Friends of the Winds and other Mortals!
As always, it's an honor to guest-blog in Blackwolf the Dragonmaster's Diary of Magecraft, as I, Boreas Rex, King of the Winds, greet you all from my jewel-encrusted Ice Throne, here in my fabulous Crystal Palace! My loyal Four Winds --- Titan of the North, Euros of the East, Zephyrus of the West and Notos of the South --- bid you a fond hello as well.
Well, it won't be long now before I once more take over my favorite Kingdom: The Saint Paul, Minnesota Winter Carnival! And as always, my favorite television Royal House, WCCO-TV, has every aspect of my 10-day reign covered, from the Grande Day Parade to my Dethroning at the hands of pesky ol' Vulcanus Rex and his cronies! This year's Winter Carnival is of very special importance, as our Winter Kingdom is helping Minnesota mark its 150th Birthday! (I admit, of course, that I don't like candles on birthday cakes; but at least I'll willingly tolerate them, as long as they're nice and frosty! Heh-heh!)
And it seems that I have a few loyal subjects in Ely, Minnesota, where they have their own Winter Festival! To which I say, in no uncertain terms: "Cool!" (Heh-heh!)
Believe me, there's so much to share this year at Carnival, I'm not even sure my magical Snowflake Scepter, which lets me see everything in my Winter Kingdom, can keep track of it all! Still, I hope you'll join me and my fair Queen of Snows, along with Klondike Kate and all the other members of my Royal Court, as we frost the hearts and dreams of St. Paul residents and their friends! Come --- join us!
Frostily yours,
Boreas Rex, King of the Winds
