Dispatch from Dun Morogh and Ironforge, with His Majesty, King Magni Bronzebeard
Wassssssup, World of WarCraft lovers! Things have been a little bit dullsville here in beautiful downtown Irvine, California --- I mean, c'mon! You think it's easy running a computer game company and keeping its core fanbase --- that's you guys --- nice and happy? Uh uh! Blizzard Entertainment has a whole mess of Humans working behind the scenes to make sure things stay nice and cool for you out there!
OK, I admit it: I miss the thrill of BlizzCon 3, too. Thanks to everybody that yelled, screamed, played, asked, inquired and had the most tremendous fun with us at the Anaheim Convention Center. Well, now it's November 1st 2008, by your calendar --- and I gotta worry about what we here in Ironforge call "matters of state." What that means is that I'm sittin' here in the ol' Throne Room, greetin' the various ambassadors with whom I need to parley and stuff. I love being a part of Blackwolf's Diary of Magecraft, don't get me wrong --- but I'm still a King, y'know, and as such, I gotta behave like a Royal Dude.
Luckily, we got a couple of friends in Florida who sorta feel just like us. They're Tampa/St. Petersburg's one and only Mystick Krewe of Neptune. In a few weeks --- maybe even this weekend --- they'll have staged their annual Coronation Ball, where they choose a new King Neptune and Queen Amphitrite. They won't tell you about until the party wraps up, but they take a lotta great photos of if for their official magazine, Neptune's Notes. I've read a few recent issues, and I think the publication is totally awesome!
Well, anyway, since nothing really exciting's goin' on here at Blizzard HQ, I guess now's as perfect a time as any for a nap. Sweet dreams, Dwarf-lovin' dudes and dudettes!
Love,
Bronzie
