Farewell, Unscrewed! (Part Two)
Alas, it is indeed as I had suspected: Production on Unscrewed w/Martin Sargent has indeed been suspended indefinitely. Read: the damn show has in fact been canceled. What purpose, then, did their invitation serve were such indeed to be the case? Frankly, I should have refused had I known I was to undergo this kind of situation. But then again, as I have observed so many times in days of yore, such is life.
Still, I will say this for Unscrewed: for all the incredible websites it sought to explore, I consider it a privilege and a joy that, if only for a little time, they had the good sense to number my Dark Chambers website amongst their deliciously weird roll of honor. Huzzah! and hurrah!
Meanwhile, Thanksgiving approaches; and as I link to the Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade at http://www.macysparade.com, I get a sense of what the children will think as they explore the three-hour adventures. A highlight of NBC's live telecast will feature the Rockettes, stars of the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular (http://www.radiocity.com) performing a medley of selections from Alan Silvestri's score from Tom Hanks and Robert Zemeckis' hit adventure, The Polar Express (http://www.polarexpressmovie.com), based on Chris van Allsburg's book. As usual, Katie, Matt and Al are the anchors; Brad Lachman executive produces; Gary (The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland) Halvorson directs --- and for the second year in a row, Spanish-speaking viewers will join the merriment with the help of NBC's newest sister network, Miami-based Telemundo (http://www.telemundo.com)! Cool, huh?
Well, it is rainy and boring here in my Dark Chambers, so I shall cease my scribblings for now. As for you, O Martin and Laura, there remains much weeping and gnashing of teeth over your show's cancellation; I am sure you will find another cable outlet from whence thou canst perform thy dirty, delicious and indeed, quite ribald work; until then --- Mischief managed!
Fearlessly yours, as always,
Master Blackwolf
