Random Friday Dragonmaster Ramblings
I tell you, Mortals, the Planet seems to be waging an all-out battle to humiliate Blackwolf the Dragonmaster. Well, let's have an understanding here, people: I didn't get this job so that you could push me around and/or attempt to do my body serious potential damage. I prefer my bodily function to remain in one piece, thank you very much, and I'm not going to put up with being humiliated, or having my intelligence insulted, or taking flak from, much less playing nice with, snooty people. I've battled much and I've come too far to let myself quit this game. There's no point to my remarks today, kiddos --- this being Friday, and with about three days to go before Mardi Gras in New Orleans, I've got to let loose whatever is on my mind, lest I go totally bonkers!
If you must know, however, and for those of you who are wondering why I, a mere Mage, should even care about Mardi Gras, well, I've told the tale before: ever since WVUE, the Fox affilaite in New Orleans, joined forces with the Travel Channel over 20 years ago, I've had a vested interest in the Monarchs of Mardi Gras. And the partnership flourished for a while --- until DIsocvery Communications bought the Travel Channel! Now, in 2007, I wouldn't bloomin' count on the Travel Channel's Mardi Gras programming if ye bloody well paid me!
Best to stick with all the top New Orleans stations --- WWL, WDSU, WGNO and WNOL --- if it be wall-to-wall Mardi Gras coverage you're after. Besides, one or more of them will very likely be the first to identify 2007's Rex, King of Carnival and his Queen! I myself, of course, can't tell you folks that info until the day itself --- so as always, I beg ye stay tun'd!
