Dispatch from Dun Morogh and Ironforge!

Hey there, World of Warcraft fans! King Magni Bronzebeard of Dun Morogh and Ironforge here, sitting on me Royal Dwarvish tochas as the folks in New Orleans count down to Mardi Gras!

While I have you guys, there's something I wanna tell the nice folks at PBS' New Orleans station, WYES-TV 12: How did you guys manage it, dudes? I mean, Katrina and Rita almost succeeded in literally blowing you guys off the air permanently --- yet you managed to bring all the magic of the Rex Ball and Meeting of the Coruts of Rex and Comus to everyone! Now, lesser Mortals would shake and shiver like cowards. Not the guys at TV12! No, gang, the WYES team are so full of courage I'll bet you they could do a national telecast of this same Rex Ball and Meeting of the Courts --- and not even blink their cameras' eyes. Ya think?

Well, anyway, just so you know, Blackwolf will post the names of Rex and his Queen either later today or first thing tomorrow morning --- so, er, I'd stay tuned if I were you!

Gotta go, Dwarf-lovin' dudes and dudettes! Stay cool, and we'll keep bashin' heads for ya! Later!

Love,

Bronzie

Today's Guest Blogger: King Donal of Gwynedd!

Greetings, fellow Champions of the Imagination! First, a brief introduction. Donal Blaine Aidan Cinhil Haldane at your service: King of all Gwynedd, Prince of Meara and Lord of the Purple March. Most of you may remember me from Katherine Kurtz' novels about Gwynedd, so to Miss Kurtz' many loyal fans I should like to greet you with a hearty hello and felicitations.

The wise Wizard Blackwolf has asked me to guest-blog today here in this, his Diary of Magecraft, because even a great defender of Chivalry and Honor must rest on this holiday known to you Mortals as Presidents' Day. This is also a perfect opportunity, in light of the fact that at least three of my five surnames are in fact of Irish origin, to wish a Happy St. Patrick's Day to those of you who are preparing for the celebrations. No doubt the melodies of the New York City Police Department Emerald Society Pipes & Drums and their counterparts in the New York City Fire Department Emeraald Society Pipes & Drums will dominate your eardrums this Saturday, March 17th!

In Gwynedd, just as in ye Byg Appyl, the pubs on St. Patrick's Day are full of fiddlers, pipers, guitarists, bohdran players ---- you name the instrument, anyone and everyone is ready for an evening ceilidh! Why, in our Royal Palace alone, there's not a living soul who isn't thirsting for mead, grog and merry music to celebrate the wonder of St. Patrick's Day! Even my Throne Room comes to life with musicians and revelers on ye Byg Greene Daeye!

But stay, for I merely ramble on while you wonder what else in the world is going on. Not a lot of stuff, unfortunately --- at least, not today, anyway! Here I sit upon the great Throne, hoping everybody else will pay this foolish old crowned head proper tribute. Well, I guess we'll see what happens.

For now, farewell from the Kingdom of Gwynedd --- where magic is not all that it seems!
