Blackwolf Previews: The 45th Anniversary Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon

Happy Labor Day, Mortals!

I won't mince words --- have I ever? --- so here be what you need to know concerning the 2010 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon:

Jerry's three lovely co-hosts are Alison Sweeney from The Biggest Loser and Days of our Lives; Nancy O'Dell, formerly of Access Hollywood; and Jann Carl, formerly of Entertainment Tonight. They'll be joined by "special guest hosts" Nigel Lythcoe, executive producer of American Idol; actor-comedian Richard Belzer; Grammy Award-nominated Broadway veteran Ace Young; General Hospital regular Brandon Barash; and comedian John Pennette. Their guests will be more than 65 local, national, and international performers, along with several families served by MDA. For the fifth straight year, homebase will be Las Vegas' incredible South Point Hotel-Casino-Spa.

WWOR-TV/DT/HD will once more join the over 170 broadcast stations and cable programmers comprising the 45th Anniversary "Love Network." Russ Salzberg and Brenda Blackmon, representing the My9 News team, will host the New York/New Jersey portions, airing live from 9 Broadcast Plaza in downtown Secaucus.

They have not, unfortunately, revealed the special guest co-host for the New York portions, but I expect that they'll take care of that by Friday, if not sooner.

By the way, and while I have you here, let me address my next thoughts to the Macy*s people and the gang at Brad Lachman Productions:

I sense what you're thinking, Brad. You, too, Robin Hall. You want it in plain English, then? Very well:

I don't want Justin Bieber at this year's Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade. There, I said it. It's enough that he did Macy*s 4th of July Fireworks; I'm already annoyed by American Idol's all-too-lackluster ninth season, and have already declared the Age of Idol to be over. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some food-shopping to do; and then I must rescue myself from a potential migraine. Chow 4 now!
