Dispatch from Dun Morogh and Ironforge!
Wasssup, World of WarCraft fans? King Magni Bronzebeard of Dun Morogh and Ironforge here!
Before I get started, I need to thank everybody who rocked with us in Paris a couple months back. We in the Blizzard bunch had a tremendous time there, groovin' with all our Eurofans! So now, we're back home here in beautiful downtown Irvine, California --- and it looks like the rest of the world's been totally busy. Oh yeah, that's right: some silly thing the Humans call the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, that's what that is! I hear they're s'posed ta get started tomorrow, right?
And while I'm thinkin' about it, what's the deal with NBC, man? Someone told me they got 106 announcers covering over 300 individual and team events over 17 days! Boy, I'd sure love to find out who those announcers are! It's gotta be mucho hard work talking, coughing, and knowing what's going on all at the same time, man. No wonder my man the D-master wanted the BBC's coverage of these Games --- betcha he figured they'd be cooler, leaner and meaner than whatever Bob Costas and the gang could come up with! And when you got three excellent guys named Monkey, Pigsy and Sandy hosting the BBC's kids' lineup all through the Games, you gotta admit that Broadcasting House, which is the BBC's London headquarters, is bound to totally rock! They're gonna need all that power, too, y'know, because London's hosting the next Games in 2012 --- so there's a lot to put together in four years, man.
Meanwhile, we in the Blizzard bunch are busy now getting our butts ready to do Anaheim again! That's right, cool people: BlizzCon 3 @ the Anaheim Convention Center is around the corner (October 9th, 10th and 11th, to be more precise) --- and you know that resistance will be so futile! We'll put up the updates for ya soon as we can!
Right now, though, it's Throne time for me! Catch ya later, Dwarf-lovin' dudes and dudettes!
Love as always,
Bronzie
