Adventures in the Cyberverse: A Dragonmaster Battles to Stay Active Online

As many of you already know by now, Yahoo!, Inc. is terminating its GeoCities Division as of October 26th, 2009. And of course, this has caused your humble Dragonmaster loads and loads of agita! Doubtless ye knew not that even a Mage of my extreme power has to battle any thing and anyone to maintain control and, at the very least, remain both active and online.

For this reason, I've had to tell most of you about the fact that I now have my own laptop PC, to which I've given the name Stormchaser -- for a good many reasons. So here I am, struggling to remain relevant, Wikipedia-capable, and fresh online --- as only Blackwolf the Dragonmaster can!

And while all this is going on, once more, one of my fellow Champions of the Imagination is about to drive my particular ego up the wall: know, then, that the Naked Cowboy, in his insatiable quest to do something remarkably silly, has decided to run for Mayor of New York City. "No one knows how to do more with less than yours truly," he explained a few hours ago, in one of his weirder prepared statements, "and that's the kind of thinking I plan on sharing with my fellow New Yorkers when you elect me."

Now really, Robert John Burck! When I first designated you one of my Champions of the Imagination, I did so in the hope that you would at least adhere to Moondog (Louis Thomas Hardin)'s legacy; but it seems to me that you're forgetting about two of those who helped to bring some of your adventures to light: I refer to my burly colleague Thor the Barbarian and the madhouse known only as Troma! Were it not for dear Lloyd Kaufman, Thor would not have been the first to get wind of you, much less later introduce you to me!

Since the Burly One departed for Hawley, PA, it has been my burden to follow further your exploits, dearest Naked Cowboy; but as I will not be there tomorrow for your press conference announcing your candidacy, let me tell you right now that if, by the end of October, I don't see that candidacy in full swing, that will be the signal that you've once more done something remarkably silly!

Anyway, fellow New Yorkers, I wanna know what you think about having the Naked Cowboy taking over City Hall. You know where to get to me --- electric_pirates@hotmail.com or blackbeardian@yahoo.com.
