Horrible Histories: A Tribute
In the annals of the BBC's long history, three beloved children's programmes have forged legends that are discussed by millions across the cosmos. The first of these, Doctor Who, obviously needs no introduction; then came Pat Keysell and Tony Hart's Vision On, where visual expression for the hearing-impaired was the order of the day ......
And now, joining those two icons of BBC family programming, and at only the tender age of three, the fabulous and incredible universe that is Horrible Histories!
Based upon the books created by Terry Deary (published in the U.S. by Scholastic), the show has been driving the planet bonkers since its premiere in 2009. The footage and music videos posted on YouTube have proven to be big hits on both sides of the Atlantic; and the ensemble cast --- Matthew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Jim Howick, Martha Howe-Douglas, Ben Willibond, Laurence Rickard, Lawry Lewin, Sarah Hadland, Dominique Moore and Alice Lowe --- have become such delightful legends, they've even taken over the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall!
Needless to say, your Dragonmaster just can't get enough of the HH crew! Which can only mean ONE thing:
Horrible Histories: The Movie. You know it's coming. 'Nuff said.
