Oh no, we're a dangerous Planet! Bah!
Oh, this one is so fun I can rant about it till I'm bloody blue in the face! Here's the 411:
Dateline, London: Several people surveyed in a worldwide poll conducted by BBC News believe that America under George W. Bush has become more dangerous; and that many Americans are viewed negatively as well. According to the survey, only three nations --- India, the Philippines and Poland --- out of 21 nationalities surveyed worldwide believed that the world was safer as a result of ol' Dubya's reelection in November.
Of the more than 22,000 respondents, 58% of those surveyed said they believed that Bush's return to the White House only served one purpose: to make the world a little more dangerous! And more, of the Americans who apparently were likewise contacted for this BBC poll, 56% agreed that Bush's triumph was good for the world, with 39% disagreeing.
Among the most negative concerning Dubya: our usual, quote, unquote, 'allies' --- Great Britain (64%), France (75%) and Germany (77%). Italy came in with 54%; Australia, 61%. The biggest amount of Bush-haters came from Turkey. 82% of those respondents said that Bush's win was bad for the concept of Peace overall, with just six percent supporting the President.
42% of the respondents said that the Bush victory made them feel worse about Americans compared against 25% saying it made them think more of them.
Alright, Mortals! I've just about had it with the rest of this twisted, insane Planet hating the United States of America! What in Merlin's name do you idiots want from us, anyway? When are you fools going to get it --- Bush won. Kerry lost. You're stuck with the twit for another four years, Planet Earth! Get bloomin' used to it! Just don't throw your brickbats about Bush at my Dark Chambers, mind ye! You can whine all you want at www.democracynow.org! Either that, or just bore yourself to tears over the Inauguration coverage at C-SPAN.org! That's the closest I can recommend to you without ending up getting arrested!
In the meantime, let's hope that the rest of you goodly gentles can, at the very least, have the good sense to tolerate the second four years of Dubya. I know I'm going to have to.
Till next time, then, as ever,
Master Blackwolf
