Royals @ the Brickyard!
In case you were too busy to notice, this year's Indianapolis 500 Festival and Parade presented as its theme Laps, Legends and Legacy: Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. And naturally, there were three very lovely ladies to rule over all the fun, racing and zooming, as presented live locally on WISH-TV/DT and nationally on Versus. Behold!
Now, you're probably wondering who these beautiful ladies are. Well, this is the Festival's traditional Breakfast @ the Brickyard party, and the 2009 Indy 500 Festival Queen, fortunately, lives in Indy per se. She is Annie Berning; and she's being flanked by her Princesses, Abby Dorsett, from Terre Haute; and Katie Rayl, from Kokomo. Even though the 2009 Indy 500 is history, Annie, Abby and Katie will be spending their summer traveling to speedway venues across the land, spreading the good word about their beloved Indy 500 and related good stuff. Vrooooooom!!! (Of course, they will have to deal with the doings chez NASCAR, as well. Ah, me.)
