Happy Happy, Joy Joy (& other twisted cheery thingies)

Well, having survived one silly week's adventures, and having undergone the slings and arrows of outrageous fatigue, your humble Dragonmaster can safely say that fun is in the cards! The Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park is but a week away --- and more, His Majesty, King Henry the Red of Shiabruck is coming all the way from his Royal Palace in Owosso, Michigan, along with several members of his Court, to greet this foolish old beetlehead!

Also, I was able to briefly speak with Her incoming Majesty, Roxanne, Queen-to-be of the SCA's Eastern Kingdom, to alert her to the Festival, and to say how sorry I am that she and His incoming Majesty, King Darius III, will not physically join us at Fort Tryon (Drat!). Still, I look forward to following the reign of Darius and Roxanne as they graduate from Prince and Princess to King and Queen! Huzzah!

As for my colleague and Brother Mage, Merdwin the Mediocre, he and the Payne family are overdoing it, I think, in terms of living up to their surname. Scott, Michael, Chuck and Debbie have been battling ye olde ouch factor left and right these last few weeks; I wonder how long they'll stop before they remind themselves that being fast-paced is never good for those who overdo. Or, as my old friend Aesop used to grumble: "The race is not always to the swift." I may be preaching to the choir, but there you go.

Well, enough nonsense from me for the moment. I've had my labors taken care of all bloomin' week long. Now, for once, 'tis playtime! YESSSSSSSSS!
